Dr. Trandel is Associate Professor in the Dept. of Partnerships, Professional Education & Practice at the University of Maryland School of Nursing and also faculty at Wellcoaches Corporation, an affiliate of Harvard University. Dr. Trandel has a nursing background as a family nurse practitioner and psych-mental health clinical nurse specialist and extensive experience in curriculum development, program management, interpersonal communications and behavioral change theory/methods. She is a certified professional health/wellness coach working to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Trandel’s professional activities include global humanitarian and national committees and organizations. She is currently working extensively with the National Consortium for Credentialing Health/Wellness Coaching and the National Board of Medical Examiners to build the emerging profession of health and wellness coaches into the existing health profession practices.
