Lynn Marie Bullock is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Office of Professional Education at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Dr. Bullock has an extensive background in nursing education and executive leadership. She currently teaches in the DNP Project Courses.  As director of OPE, she oversees the School’s professional education and continuing education offerings, including symposia, conferences, institutes, lectures, and online continuing education courses. The office also offers Interprofessional continuing education programs in collaboration with other University of Maryland, Baltimore schools. UMSON is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Dr. Goodwin is Assistant Professor and Chair @UMSON@USG. She received her BSN and MSN from Temple University, and a PhD with an emphasis in nursing education from Villanova University. During her career, Dr. Goodwin has specialized and practiced in medical-surgical nursing including as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. In her current role as a nurse educator, Dr. Goodwin has taught in the undergraduate curriculum, advised students, served on various committees, and served as the Director of the BSN Program. Dr. Goodwin’s areas of interest are Cultural Competence and interprofessional education (IPE). Through an interprofessional collaboration, she co-developed and implemented an IPE clinic, in which nursing, social work, and pharmacy students provide care for medically complex patients in a safety-net clinic. Her dissertation research focused on the inpatient experiences of limited and non-English speaking Hispanic patients. Dr. Goodwin has presented nationally in the area of culture competence and IPE. She serves on a Nurse Residency Advisory Board for a local health system and as a reviewer of Journal of Professional Nursing.

She has presented nationally on implementing IPE, cultural diversity in healthcare and transition to practice.

Linda L. Costa, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, is an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing.  She is Co-Director of the Nurse Leadership Institute.  Dr. Costa participated in interviewing 35 nurse leaders in practice and academia to develop the 2020 curriculum for NLI.  She is a health services researcher focused on care transitions and patient outcomes. She developed a care coordination/population health curriculum for clinical nurses as part of an academic-practice partnership.  She teaches in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program and the Master of Science in Nursing in the Health Services Leadership and Management specialty. Dr. Costa received a BSN from the University of Maryland, her MSN and PhD from The Catholic University of America
